Fistful of Babies
Joe BB
– Guitars, Bass, Vocals
Ahead of his time, maybe… The
voice of his time, for sure. Not
afraid to bridge genres, BB fearlessly melds music like a blacksmith folds
steel. The results are songs made of the strongest composite alloy melodies. In
the words of Donnie and Marie Osmond, “I’m a little bit country, and I’m a
little bit rock and roll”. Mixing
styles is usually considered artistic suicide in the music biz except by
the likes of such geniuses as Hank Jr., The Supersuckers, The Charlie Daniels
Band, Richmond Fontaine, Donnie and Marie of course, and now BB and his Fistful
of Babies. If BB was a sandwich
maker and music was lunchmeat, the hoagies produced would be sooo fuckin’
yummy... You would be fat and happy from eating too many kickass rock sandwiches.

The Babies
Paul
Brainard – Guitar, Steel Guitar, Dobro, Trumpet, Banjo, Backing Vocals
Afflicted with a severe case of attention deficit disorder, Paul is easily
sidetracked by small shiny objects. His prowess extends to all musical instruments with a focus
on steel guitar, which is, as we all know, the hardest instrument known to man.
Paul’s inability to concentrate on the chords and notes of any particular song
are not a hindrance. He just plays all the chords and notes that are in
existence. This style has led to new breakthroughs in music. Paul has discovered
two new notes in the standard musical scale. The H note and the very tricky S
note. Both Patents Pending. With BB’s guidance these new notes have been
implemented tastefully into the F.O.B. creation process. Thank god for Paul
Brainard.

Tommy
Sessa – Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals
A graduate of MIT in Advanced Mathematics, Tom began his journey to become one
of the fistful with a numeric angst unequaled. This MIT degree combined with
intense sexual frustration has fueled this Boston drummer to new levels of
polyrhythmic achievement. Once after an ex-girlfriend confessed she was gay, Tom
drummed, to the last digit, the rhythmic equivalent of PI. Without his drums Tom
is a dangerous man. He’s prone to violent fits and severe intestinal disorder.
Tom is known as the “Rain Man” of the drumset.

Fred
Trujillo – Bass, Backing Vocals
No one knows very much about the elusive Fred Trujillo. He has been known to
frequent the bars in the Spanish Harlem of Portland known as “Spanish
Portland”. His mastery of the lower frequencies is only bested by his mastery
of fighting chickens. He is the “Foghorn Leghorn” of the fighting chicken
industry. The best looking and most fashionable of the Babies (aside from BB of
course), Fred is very popular with the ladies…and the more open-minded gents.
What would we do without Fred?
